Tracking of products in the supply chain using IoT blockchain – CODASOL has bagged a government project to help with the tracking of holders of dairy products from manufacturing to the traders and vice versa. We assist the state government in bringing transparency in the supply chain to control the pilferage.
The customer encountered challenges in tallying the trays that are transported with milk packets and being returned empty. There are about 15,000 trays transported every day around 65 locations.
CODASOL has created an innovative solution using Digital Technologies IOT and Blockchain to overcome this challenge.
Our IOT solution helps to track and trace the movement of these products resulting in a hassle free service for the end user.
Blockchain can help to reduce and even prevent fraud in the supply chain through greater transparency and improved traceability of products. It’s very difficult to manipulate the blockchain, which is an immutable record that can only be updated and validated through consensus among network participants.
And if a product is digitized on blockchain, it can easily be traced back to its origin because the information is on a shared, distributed ledger.
Determined to stop the spread of such occurrences, CODASOL has been using blockchain to track the provenance of these essential products, through an inscribed serial number that is linked to a pallets’s myriad attributes — which are recorded on blockchain.
This innovative solution brings complete transparency, reduces the manual work and improves the accuracy in the supply chain.
