Encryption

Encryption is securing sensitive or confidential information in the master data repository by converting it into a secure, encoded format. Its purpose is to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, theft, or exposure, as well as to ensure that the data remains confidential and secure even if the MDM system is breached.

This can be achieved through various encryption algorithms, such as AES, RSA, or DES, which scramble the data so that it can only be decrypted with the correct key. Encryption in MDM is an important security measure to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the master data and to ensure that sensitive information is protected at all times.
