A leading fertilizer company in the Middle East, established to develop the petrochemical industries and utilize the country’s natural gas resources, operates one of the largest single-site urea producers in the world. The company is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in environmental protection and sustainable development, producing ammonia and urea that are vital for global agriculture and industry. The company has a significant presence in the international market, exporting products to over 45 countries.
Scope
The project aimed to cleanse the existing Material Master data by reviewing specifications, part numbers, duplications, item sources, and Min/Max levels before uploading the cleansed data into the SAP S/4 HANA system.
The creation of service masters for all services procured by the client was required to maintain data integrity in the ERP system. The client’s current ERP system is Oracle.
Our client engaged our services to perform “MATERIAL MASTER DATA CLEANSING AND ENRICHMENT SERVICES” for line items of 120,000. This included physical verification/inspection of items at the client’s warehouse by experienced material specialists and inspectors.
Solution Provided
To meet the client’s needs, we executed the following activities:
- Conducted a thorough analysis of the client’s legacy database to identify items requiring cleansing.
- Standardized and cleansed the identified data items, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Performed physical audits and captured digital images of materials for accurate record-keeping.
- Reviewed and set Min/Max stock levels to optimize inventory management.
- Created service masters for all services procured by the client.
- Linked relevant documents with the materials for comprehensive data management.
- Identified and addressed duplicate entries to reduce redundancy and improve data quality.
- Compiled the cleansed and standardized data into a final database with a detailed report.

Data was uploaded into SAP S/4 HANA from Oracle ERP system.
Outcome
